Theta Delts from across North America will gather from August 4-7, 2010 for the 163rd Convention in Washington DC at the Loews Madison Hotel, 1177 Fifteenth St NW (near the White House), where we have a group rate of $155 double or single. We have an amazing line-up of events planned that will be the perfect place to catch up with your brothers both local and distant!

Registration & Reception

  • Opening registration at Loews Madison Hotel. Join fellow Theta Delts for a cash bar reception 6-7 PM
  • Party with the undergrads at the Blackfinn American Saloon, 1620 I (“Eye”) Street NW, a few blocks from the hotel. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres. 8 PM—on.

Business Sessions, Omega Service, Boat Cruise

  • First Business Session 1 PM, Loews Madison Hotel. Reports from the Grand Lodge, Founders’ Corporation, and Educational Foundation, and the Executive Director; introduction of proposed legislation.
  • Omega Service, 6-7 PM, All Souls Memorial Episcopal Church, 2300 Cathedral Avenue NW. This moving event takes place in a sanctuary graced by stained-glass windows memorializing Theta Delta Chi, a gift of the post-WWI era.
  • Boat Cruise, 8:30-10:30 PM with buffet dinner included, plus cash bar. Enjoy the beautiful illuminated monuments of the nation’s capital from the comfort of a cruising yacht. (Board 8:00 to 8:30 PM)

Business Sessions, Alumni Seminar

  • Alumni Seminar, 10 AM-noon, Loews Madison Hotel. Mr. Greg McElroy, formerly Executive Director of Zeta Psi Fraternity, will focus on reviving and strengthening your alumni association or house corporation, and on fundraising.
  • Second Business Session 1 PM, Loews Madison Hotel. Elections for the new Grand Lodge and voting on new legislation.
  • PM Pub Party, 8 PM –until, hosted by the Chi Deuteron (George Washington) alumni at the Froggy Bottom, 2142 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Grand Banquet

  • Buffet Luncheon 12:30-1:30 PM, Loew’s Madison Hotel. Mix with fellow alumni and the undergraduates
  • PGL Reception 7-8 PM,Loew’s Madison Hotel (cash bar). The prelude to . . .
  • THE GRAND BANQUET with wine, 8-10:30 PM, Loew’s Madison Hotel. Be part of the festivities as the years’ Awards are given to Charges and individual Theta Delts to the accompaniment of traditional songs and good cheer.

Members can register for convention by using the checkout system on the right of this page. Prefer to pay by check? Checks can be mailed to The Theta Delta Chi Central Fraternity Office, 214 Lewis Wharf, Boston, MA 02110, made out to the Grand Lodge of Theta Delta Chi.


FULL REGISTRATION

  • Full alumni (or non-delegate undergraduate) registration is $425, or only $375 before June 1st.
  • Joint with spouse or partner, $800/$700 early.

These include all Convention events (see below), beginning Wednesday and concluding with Saturday’s Grand Banquet


MULTI-EVENTS REGISTRATION

  • Weekday Package registrations available on an individual basis for $325/$275 early. These include all business and social events through Friday PM’s pub party (see below).
  • Weekend Package registrations available on an individual basis for $325/$275 early. These include all business and social events from Friday’s Alumni Seminar (see below) through the Grand banquet.

SPECIAL EVENTS REGISTRATION

  • Boat cruise only (see below) -$75/$65 early (places limited!)
  • GRAND BANQUET with wine: solo tickets $135/$115 early.

Even if you can’t make the other events, plan on a big reunion Saturday.
